Initial Production Check

Initial Production Check

Product Description

Initial Production Check (IPC), is frequently requested by importers operating in certain industries such as garment and fashion products. IPC's main focus is on the quality level of the raw materials that will be used in the production of final products. Import Department audits check the materials' color, softness, weaving pattern, thickness etc and see if they meet specific requirements and reference samples. The amount of materials that are currently available for the factory's use is also recorded. IPC report includes detailed images and video footage and is sent to the customer within 1-2 days after completion.

Another advantage of using IPC is that the customer has the opportunity to see if the factory manufactures the products themselves or they use other subcontractors during the production.

In many cases, material's safety is of primary concern to the importer as the material used must pass the destination country's safety requirements. The customer may request the manufacturer to stop and ask certain corrections to take place If the manufacturer fails to meet the safety standards of the destination country. Thus it is always suggested to have Sampling and Testing in order to avoid such non-conformities.
